Greek Letters FAQ
Which sigma do I use at the end of a word?
Greek uses ς only in final position and σ elsewhere — both are in this grid, labelled. For maths, Σ sums and σ is a standard deviation; the names keep all three straight.
Why does it look different on my friend’s phone?
Every platform draws Unicode characters with its own fonts, so the same character can look subtly (or wildly) different between devices. The character you copy is identical everywhere; only the drawing changes.
