What this tool does

About the roman numerals

Dedicated single-character numerals — not letter lookalikes — with values named, in capital and small forms.

How to use it

  1. Search the Roman numerals by name, or scroll the grid.
  2. Click any entry to copy it to your clipboard instantly.
  3. Click several to collect them in the tray, then copy the combination in one go.
  4. Paste wherever you need it — the characters are standard Unicode.

Useful for

  • Number headings, film titles and clock faces with true numeral glyphs.
  • Copy Ⅳ as one character that can’t break across lines.
  • Use small numerals ⅰ ⅱ ⅲ for sub-lists.

Roman Numerals FAQ

Why not just type capital I, V and X?

Letters work, but these dedicated glyphs space evenly, never wrap mid-numeral, and screen readers announce them as numbers rather than spelling letters. For polish, the real characters win.

Why does it look different on my friend’s phone?

Every platform draws Unicode characters with its own fonts, so the same character can look subtly (or wildly) different between devices. The character you copy is identical everywhere; only the drawing changes.
