Square Symbols FAQ
Why did colour squares get famous?
A certain daily word game shared its results in green and yellow squares, and suddenly the whole internet spoke block emoji. They remain the best way to share a grid without a screenshot.
Why does it look different on my friend’s phone?
Every platform draws Unicode characters with its own fonts, so the same character can look subtly (or wildly) different between devices. The character you copy is identical everywhere; only the drawing changes.
