Card Suit Symbols FAQ
Why do hearts and diamonds show up red sometimes?
Some platforms emoji-convert those two while leaving spades and clubs as text — an inconsistency as old as emoji. The outline variants resist the conversion better when you need all four to match.
Why does it look different on my friend’s phone?
Every platform draws Unicode characters with its own fonts, so the same character can look subtly (or wildly) different between devices. The character you copy is identical everywhere; only the drawing changes.
