XML Formatter FAQ
Why so strict about errors?
XML is strict by specification — one unclosed tag invalidates the document, and consumers will reject it. Surfacing the parser’s exact complaint beats producing pretty-looking broken output.
Will it preserve my comments?
Yes — comments and CDATA-ish text survive; whitespace BETWEEN elements is normalised, which is what formatting means. Significant-whitespace documents are rare and know who they are.
