How much does minification save?
Typically 20–40% pre-compression — but note gzip/brotli already crush whitespace, so over-the-wire savings are smaller than the raw delta. The count shown is honest about what it measures.
Will minify break my CSS?
It removes comments and whitespace only — no property rewriting, no “optimisations” that change meaning. The cautious kind of minifier, on purpose.
