Text to Speech Reader FAQ
Why do voices differ between my devices?
The Web Speech API uses voices INSTALLED on each device — macOS, Windows and Android ship different sets. This page is a player for your local voices, not a cloud TTS; that is also why nothing you paste leaves the machine.
Can I save the audio?
Browsers do not expose the synthesis stream for download — record system audio if you need a file. For production voiceover, dedicated TTS services (or a human) remain the tools.
