Are “Item” and “item” duplicates?
Your call — that is exactly what the case-sensitivity toggle decides. For emails and URLs, case-insensitive is usually right; for codes and IDs, keep it sensitive.
Does it keep my original order?
Yes, by default the first occurrence stays in place and later repeats vanish — usually what a curated list wants. Sorting is a separate tool, deliberately.
