How precise is a browser stopwatch?
Display updates in tenths; underlying timing is millisecond-class but browsers throttle background tabs, so keep the tab visible for anything you would quote. For sports-official timing, dedicated hardware still earns its lane.
Why laps instead of multiple timers?
Laps answer the usual real question — splits within one session — and produce a copyable record. Parallel independent timers are a different tool; several tabs of this one also works.
