Sleep Cycle Calculator FAQ

Why do cycle boundaries matter?

Waking from deep sleep mid-cycle produces that concrete-headed grogginess; boundaries catch you in lighter stages. It is why 7.5 hours can beat 8 — you surface instead of being dredged.

Is everyone’s cycle 90 minutes?

It averages 90 but runs 80–110 between people and across the night — the model is a good aim, not physiology law. If 90-minute maths never matches your mornings, your cycles are telling you their own number.
