Time Duration Calculator FAQ
Why decimal hours?
Payroll multiplies rate × hours, and 7:45 is 7.75 in that arithmetic, not 7.45 — a classic invoicing error. The tool prints the decimal so the multiplication is safe.
How does midnight work?
22:30 → 06:15 reads as next-day automatically: the night-shift case naive subtraction gets wrong by 16 hours. Multi-day spans want the Date Difference room.
