How likely is the actual due date?
About 4–5% of babies arrive on it — the EDD is the centre of a two-week-each-way window, not an appointment. Plan the month, not the day.
Why does cycle length change the answer?
LMP dating assumes ovulation at day 14 of a 28-day cycle; longer cycles ovulate later, shifting everything. The adjustment field applies the standard correction.
