How to use it

Do changefreq and priority still matter?
Google ignores both. lastmod is the one optional field it may use, and only when it is accurate. The generator lets you omit the dead weight entirely.
How big can a single sitemap be?
The standard caps a file at 50,000 URLs or 50MB uncompressed; this generator accepts up to 5,000 rows, which is plenty for the hand-maintained sites it is built for. Split larger sets across files under a sitemap index.
