Why can’t I just buy the exact number?
Edges get cut, some cuts fail, a tile cracks — and a later top-up may be a different batch shade that never quite matches. Wastage is the cheap insurance; the visible seam is the expensive lesson.
What matters about batch numbers?
Same design, different firing = slightly different shade. Every box shows a batch code; matching them matters more than any other logistics on the job.
