Colour Converter FAQ
Why is the CMYK “approximate”?
True print conversion depends on the press/ink profile; formula CMYK is the honest screen-side estimate and is labelled so. For production print, convert inside the design tool with the printer’s profile.
What is HSL good for?
Human-shaped adjustments: same hue lighter/darker is just moving L, muted is lowering S. It is the format our Palette Generator thinks in — and why designers theme in HSL.
