What this tool does

About the open graph & social card preview

Enter title, description, image URL and card type to render representative layouts. Each social platform can crop, cache or rewrite the final card differently.

How to use it

  1. Enter the og:title, og:description and image URL your page will declare.
  2. Pick the card layout — generic Open Graph or the large X summary card.
  3. Review the rendered preview, paying attention to image cropping and title truncation.
  4. Adjust the fields, then copy the final values into your page metadata.

Useful for

  • See how a link will unfurl before the newsletter or social post goes out.
  • Choose between two og:image candidates by previewing both at card ratio.
  • Explain to a client why their share preview looks broken and what fields fix it.

Open Graph & Social Card Preview FAQ

What size should an Open Graph image be?

1200×630 is the safe standard — a 1.91:1 ratio that Facebook, LinkedIn and X all crop least. The preview here shows your image at that ratio so surprises show up now, not in the feed.

Why does a platform show an old image after I fixed the tags?

Platforms cache scraped cards aggressively. Use their sharing debuggers to force a re-scrape; the preview here shows what the fresh scrape should produce.

Is my image uploaded when I preview it?

Your browser loads the image directly from the URL you supply; nothing is sent to URSY.io.
