What this tool does
About the keyword density checker
The report shows raw counts and percentages without prescribing a target density. Natural usefulness matters more than repeating a phrase to hit a number.
How to use it
- Paste the full page copy and, optionally, the phrases you are targeting.
- Run the count and read the one-, two- and three-word frequency tables.
- Check your target phrases: present, absent, or repeated to the point of reading badly.
- Edit for natural language and re-run — the number that matters is “does this read like a person wrote it”.
Useful for
- Spot accidental keyword stuffing in a draft before an editor or an algorithm does.
- Check whether the phrase a page targets actually appears in the copy — it is missing more often than people think.
- Compare term balance across two drafts by running each and comparing the reports.

Keyword Density Checker FAQ
What is the ideal keyword density?
There isn’t one, and this tool deliberately refuses to invent a target percentage. Density stopped being a ranking lever many years ago; the report exists to catch stuffing and absence, the two real failure modes.
Why are stop words excluded?
Words like “the” and “of” dominate raw counts and bury the signal. The tool drops them by default so the tables show terms that describe your topic.
Does my copy leave the browser?
No. Counting happens locally; drafts are never uploaded.
