What this tool does
About the broken link report analyser
Paste a simple URL-and-status export from your browser, host or existing crawler. The local analyser groups 4xx, 5xx and redirect entries and never fetches a page itself.
How to use it
- Export URL + status rows from your crawler, host logs or browser extension.
- Paste the rows or upload the CSV — up to 10,000 rows.
- Read the grouped report: 4xx, 5xx and redirect chains are separated and counted.
- Work the 404s first, then the 5xx entries, and re-crawl to confirm the fixes.
Useful for
- Turn a raw crawler export into a prioritised fix list grouped by failure type.
- Separate genuine 404s from redirect noise before assigning link-fixing work.
- Review a client’s link report privately without pasting their URLs into a hosted service.

Broken Link Report Analyser FAQ
Why doesn’t this tool crawl my site itself?
By design: it runs on your existing report, in your browser, so nothing about your site is sent anywhere and no crawl budget is spent. Pair it with any crawler you already trust.
Are redirects in the report actually broken links?
Usually not broken — but internal links that 301 waste a hop and dilute clarity. The grouping lets you treat them as clean-up rather than emergencies.
