URL Dissector FAQ
What are fbclid and gclid?
Click identifiers that advertising platforms append so the destination can attribute your click. Harmless to functionality, informative to platforms — the dissector spots the known ones and hands you the stripped URL.
Are query parameters private?
Treat them as public: they sit in server logs, analytics, browser history and every place the link is pasted. Personal data in a URL is personal data published — which is why this tool exists in the decode direction too.
